Hey,

Anyone here has experience using Mac Mini?

Is it worth for me to get one? Just want to hear your comments.

Thanks.

I used one a long time ago. They're not bad machines; and they're quite small and quiet. The biggest incentive to buy one, imo, is the size of the unit.

Haha! Got attracted by the size of it. But so far, any problems with it?

Typically, Apple machines are pretty rock-solid.

Can't say I ever had any problems with the unit I used.

Have you considered XBMC?

It's similar to Boxee, and in my opinion, better.

That would be my main motivation for getting a Mac Mini too.

I think the mac mini is a pretty cool little device and apple products are usually very solid, I am also looking at buying one of these but not right nowmaybe in a month or two.

I purchased one on Amazon in November. It's my first (well first official, I've done some Hackintoshing) Mac and I love it. I bought it because all I needed was the box; I have monitors, keyboard, and a mouse.

I bought the slower one (2.26ghz processor) with 2GB of RAM. I then upgraded to 4GB for $100 by purchasing some on Amazon.

I can now run a Windows 7 virtual machine with no problems in performance. However, I don't really use too many apps that require a ton of resources. I'm browsing the net, doing some web development, and occasionally dabbling in Photoshop. I don't game, for example; I can't speak for it's performance there.

It was $100 for 2 x 2GB sticks. Unfortunately the Mac Mini comes with 2 x 1GB sticks and only has two slots =/

I sold my old 2 x 1GB on Amazon for $20.

I used to use Newegg for everything. But now I have Amazon Prime. It's hard to beat free 2 day shipping on everything.

My friend runs both and I think that he likes them both for different reasons. I heard that Boxee is going to be releasing Boxee Box, which will be powerful enough and much cheaper then the Mac mini.
