Sorry guys

You don't have to apologize for being delusional.

I wasn't being delusional. I am simply sorry for the rest of you who aren't fans of the best team in the NFL.

Care to ever be a rational, informed fan instead of a irrational fanboy who doesn't have a grasp on the league? it's ok to be a fan of the team, but it's not ok to be unrealistic and have no clue how good or bad your team actually is compared to the league.  If you were a true Steelers fan, you'd realize that your offensive line has some major questions this year, making the Steelers a question mark to even make the playoffs.

Anything you'd like to say? An apology perhaps? Just like Ben Roethlisberger said, you can't diss our offensive line now.

Just kidding...it's all in good fun.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS! 6 X SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!  Cheesy
I'm a huge Steelers fan I will still diss our offensive line.  The only reason we won, was because Ben can get away from defenders like Houdini.  They need a LOT of help, starting with a left guard on the O'line.

Gotta say that before last night, "mobile" was not one of the first things that came to mind when describing Ben Roethlisberger's qualities as a QB.

The offensive line still stinks. No running game to speak of and Ben was running for his life.  heck, the lousy Bills had a better o-line this year. Steelers have a really good QB and a solid defense. That's why they won.

Warner was no slouch.

Pittsburgh had less penalties, too. Wink

True about the penalties.  Warner tore up the Steelers but Big Ben was magic on that last drive.  Ridiculous but he did it.

Haynesworth to the Redskins (for a ridiculous amount of money, so Snyder must know something we don't about the certainty of no salary cap after 2010). They were smart to re-sign Hall, too.

Fred Taylor picked up by the Patriots. That's not exactly a run-happy offense, but he'll be a handy veteran to have on the roster.
Kellen Winslow traded to the Bucs.
Bart Scott signs with the Jets.
Sage Rosenfels traded to the Vikings.
Gibril Wilson signs with the Dolphins.

Busy first day of free agency.

Redskins overpaid for Haynesworth and Hall.  No shocker there since Daniel Snyder is one of the most incompetent owners when it comes to football.

If I'm Bart Scott, I wouldn't want to go to the Jets. Jets are going nowhere.

I really really hope that B-Dawk did not sign with the Broncos. Why is it that stars who say that they want to end their careers in Philly never do? as proof, Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Charles Barkley, Randall Cunningham, Allen Iverson, Eric Lindros, Curt Schilling, and now (probably) Brian Dawkins have all left town for seemingly greener pastures. Why? why? whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? =/

Confirmed now........Matt Cassel traded to the Chiefs. Big move there.

And in this year's edition of "Where Highly-Drafted Wide Receivers Go To Die," Bryant Johnson has signed with Detroit.

Add Lito Sheppard to that list, too, maluze (Jets). Looks like Buckhalter's gone as well.

  • Cassel, Vrabel to Kansas City
  • Buckhalter, Arrington, Gaffney, Dawkins, Renaldo Hill, and Lonnie Paxton all to the Broncos, who also apparently are sending out trade feelers for Jay Cutler. Not sure about that move - he's not the best, but it'll be hard to trade up for a QB unless they offer more. Denver also anticipating a visit from Derrick Ward, who's already been to Cincinnati.
  • Kitna signs to back Romo up in Dallas, who have also picked up Keith Brooking.
  • Rocky Bernard to the Giants, who are also targeting Chris Canty.
  • Panthers lose offensive lineman Jeff Hangartner to the Bills - I'll miss him.
  • Houshmandzadeh visiting Minnesota and Philly
  • Saints making a move for Darren Sharper.

I can't wait to see the Jets fall on their face next season with their mediocre quarterbacks.  Sorry Rex, you can't recreate the defensive juggernaut gameplan in New York.

J.J. Arrington's contract talks with Denver have broken down. Why, I'm not entirely sure: surely Arrington can't have expected too much as a 3rd-string RB mainly specializing in kickoff returns?

Denver's really diving into the free market, too: Ward's in town, and Andre Davis and Darrell Reid have signed to bolster their defense.

Laverneus Coles talking to the Bills and Dolphins.

Yeah, gotta say I didn't see that one comin'.  The Bills?  Hopefully that will allow Lee Evans to become the WR he can be.  But that was surprising.

If anything this move makes or breaks his upcoming season. Evans has always been a deep threat receiver who tends to be inconsistent at times. But with Trent Edwards, Marshawn Lynch, T.O. and Evans...The Bills have a solid core of players...They may make some noise this coming season.

Wait, Evans hasn't been the inconsistent one. The QB play has been inconsistent as well as the coaching.  Evans is always playing great but the coaches get too scared and won't let the QB throw deep to Lee.

yeah, I agree with ya.  Evans has always been consistently double teamed because they have not had another legit WR.  Now they do.  Now we find out if Edwards is really the QB that the Bills need.

It's not like Lee Evans hasn't been part of a decent WR tandem before - Eric Moulds was still around when he first came to the league. If the Bills got Josh Reed to show up and used Roscoe Parrish more, they'd have a standout receiving corps.

I believe Edwards can be a really good QB.  He got killed many times last year by a weak O-line and by bad play calling.  The Bills really need to pick up a tight end in the first round of the draft this year.  Also, Marshawn Lynch may be suspended for a few games by the NFL so perhaps the Bills should get another RB on the roster.
