We are going to hold a contest. For a while now we have talked about having a CDL shirt, and perhaps getting new site artwork for the banners etc. Well wait no longer the time has come, and the only limit is what you guys can come up with.
Our initial goal is to get new artwork for ChristianDl and TehOrng. The artwork will be made specifically to go on shirts and perhaps even on the site in the form of a banner or something similar.
What we will need from the artists:1. Your art work in a jpg or png so that it can be posted on the site for judging
2. Source files; for you photo shoppers that is your .psd file but depending on what program you use we need the file that shows and controls all the different layers and effects that you will use on your entry. Vector graphics would be nice, or if you go with pixel graphics please try and make it big, since it will probably have to be scaled to several different sizes including the shirt sizes. If you have excellent art work, but we cant zoom in with out getting pixelated, it wont do us any good to use it.
*note* we would prefer a psd if at all possible.3. You should also includ a logo version of your artwork, the logo has to fit in a 440x111px container. The logo will have a background gradient behind it afterwards as it is now so using a color such as #2B2B2B will better help you see the final result.
Things for the artists to note:1. All submissions should be artwork you own; nothing that a third party might own the rights too.
2. We will retain the right to all artwork submitted, and will use them as best as we see fit (so no trying to sue us if we decide to post a design or use it down the road
)
3. These designs are going to be made specifically for shirts, and so limiting the number of colors you use would be wise (but not required). For now we plan to use cafepress to get things rolling, but should we ever move to a different printer, some shops will charge by the color, also remember the color of the shirt counts as a color in your design

the very first template on the page it should be labeled with "front/back" and gives a 10"x10" template.
Contest Rules: 1. Anyone may enter ... 3 will win
2. We will pick out the designs we feel accentuate the spirit of the site and what we do here. From these finalist designs we will then have a public vote top 2 ChristianDL designs and the top TehOrng designs will be the winners.
3. We will not limit the number of entries, but most likely we will not select more than 1 winning design per person (then again we wont turn down good work so show us what you've got).
**note** you may post as many logo designs as you want in this thread, but if you are submitting them for a chance at the contest prizes (and not simply to share your art/ideas) then do not post them here but email them with the rest of your entry (to the email address below) so that the staff can review them for the official contest.
Prizes:1st place - complimentary copy of their winning shirt design (with matching shirt to go behind it) + any Christian CD* of their choice from amazon
2nd place - Complimentary shirt with their design.
3rd place - Any Christian CD* of their choice from Amazon.
* - CD may be purchased second hand, but will be guaranteed to play.
** - if there is an issue (like delivery availability) with over seas prize winners, we can work something out but rest assured we will take care of ya for your excellent work

All entries must be submitted by July 15th. Please send all submissions to CDLstaff@gmail.com to be reviewed. Final public vote will be shortly after the close date of the contest. Remember to include the source file and image file in your email, as well as Your user name on CDL.
