Chelsea, chelsea, chelsea... idk how many more wins they can pull off in stoppage time but hey, they make for great endings to say the least.

Or a snoozefest, as most big-time matchups tend to become in this competition, especially in the group stage.

champions league is back!!! Sadly even the first week into it we see uefa picking clueless refs to referee the games. Oh well, as long as uefa gets the out comes they want they're cool with it.

Another Drogba meltdown. Pretty embarrassing for Chelsea fans. To be honest, Chelsea only have themselves to blame for an inability to score at home. They had the away goal, and only needed to come away with a simple win. Instead, they let Inter get stronger and stronger as the game progressed. Sneijder was incredible. I really wish United had pursued him more seriously back when he was available. Madrid sure could've used him last week.

Your joking right? Did you watch the entire game or just the red card? they were kicking and pushing him the entire game! Drogba gets pushed to the floor (Which should have been a penalty) Im sure he had it by that point so he steps on his foot, really man... thats a melt down? even worse, THATS A RED CARD?! lol, UEFA loves chelsea. but your right, not scoring one goal at home... they dont deserve to go on. Drogba is still my favorite football player out there. Always have next year... or something like that. whatever.

No, I'm being dead serious. I don't care how badly you think the game is being called, that does not excuse lashing out at any point. I don't care if Drogba's been kicked, punched, wrestled to the ground. The second you retaliate like that, you become no better than the others, and if it's deserving of a red card, it's deserving of a red card.

Three years in a row now - first the slap on Vidic, then "eeet's a ****ing disgrace" on global tv, now this. He's a brilliant player, but Didier Drogba can also turn very very ugly when things don't go his way.

I don't see how you are NOT embarrassed by one of your superstar players acting like a spoiled child whenever he loses a big game. Oh, and nice work by your captain after the match as well. Seriously.

I couldn't be prouder of Chelsea! Not necessarily for the way they're playing football at the moment, but Chelsea is indeed a great team. And I don't take your chelsea hate rant serious just for the fact that you single out drogba for his "melt down".... if he had a melt down, INTER as a team had a HUGE melt down! They were kicking, pushing, and hitting all game... a true embarrassment to football. And as for you singling out Terry, lol. one word. Ferguson... dont talk.

Drogba melted down, plain and simple. Last three times Chelsea have been eliminated in the Champions' League? 2 Drogba red cards, and one profanity-laced tirade aimed at a tv camera going around the world. That's the DEFINITION of meltdowns. Class act.  Roll Eyes

I'm not defending what Inter's players did throughout the game, but that was never the point. Nice try at diverting the point to something completely different, though.

Ferguson cheated on his wife? Ferguson slept with the mother of a teammate's child? Ferguson ran over someone's leg and broke it because he's a sore loser and wanted to get home? Ferguson spits on other team's players? Wow, that's all news to me.

How about you take some of your own advice and "don't talk" until you can come back with something that actually (a) is on point, (b) shows some comprehension of basic definitions, and (c) relies on fact?

But hey, you just said how proud you are of your team. Carry on.

Oh, and sunshine? Before you start about how Chelsea are leading the league, good for you - you were only SUPPOSED to win it easily this year, what with United, the three-time defending champion, having lost Ronaldo and Tevez in the offseason. This was supposed to be the year anyone regarded as a serious challenger to United was supposed to overtake us with ease and coast to the title while we dropped far back.

Chill out? I'm perfectly laid back here.

I've told you many times - I'm interested in reasoned football discussion. There's a reason why I don't come to this site for that, but on the occasion when someone attempts to pass comment on something they obviously aren't as well-informed about as they seem to think, I am compelled to respond for the sake of footballing integrity. Consider it a service, and you're welcome.  Smiley

Now, I ask (in some cases, I ask again):

1. Didier Drogba - which part of 2 sending-offs and 1 globally-televised profanity-laden tirade constitutes "class" as opposed to a meltdown on all occasions?
2. At which point was the play and conduct of Inter Milan's players ever the issue originally brought up?
3. Since you drew the initial comparison, can you please demonstrate where and how Sir Alex Ferguson has done either of the above: cheated on his wife, got the mother of one of his teammates' or players' children pregnant and then paid for an abortion, spat at an opponent during a continental cup final, and/or committed hit and run on a stadium employee in full view of fans? Do provide verification to make your comparison valid.

Oh, and by the way, let's please remember that I've never been the one to engage in namecalling. Word to the wise - don't ever call me ignorant ever again. Thanks.

Scoring from an offside position, no less. I really hate how such a big matchup was affected by terrible officiating on both sides today.

Oh well, we're still well in the hunt. Not bad for a team that was supposed to collapse this season after the departure of 2 superstars.

Pretty interesting to see that not one England team made it to the semi-finals this year in the champions league. Id love to see Bayern Munich vs Inter in the final... that's my dream match up with the teams left in it.

Well, if you're going to crash out of Europe, at least crash out to a wondergoal like that gem Robben came up with.

Premiership race is NOT over. Brilliant effort by Scholesy to take the points vs. City today, and a great big THANK YOU to Spurs. Totally outclassed Chelsea, and really should've won by at least 4-1 instead of the 2-1 final.

LOL at Terry for telling the ref to f-off after the handball call and then trying to tell the 4th official he won the ball twice on both his yellow cards. Great leadership.

As an England fan, after a display like today (which is only the tip of the iceberg as far as he is concerned), I am all the more glad that John Terry has been stripped of the England captaincy. I can only wish Ancelotti would do the same and give the armband to Lampard, who has more class in his pinky finger than Terry has in all of his body.
