Long before rapidshare and zshare, most of the files on Christian Downloads were shared through BitTorrent. The new download sites are great for albums around 100MB, but don't work very well for larger downloads. For example, an entire 4GB DVD can take forever to piece back together. A few years ago, I ran a public torrent tracker for the CDL community, and we had thousands of torrents running when I had to shut it down for the summer. Since then, we've had to use public sites like Pirate Bay to track our torrents. (And some of those sites, ahem, don't have the greatest ads.) http://xswarm.net/So, now introducing xswarm (pronounced cross-swarm), a brand new torrent tracker just for Christian material! If you know how to create torrents, go ahead and give it a try. It's running a very stable C++ tracker with a basic PHP frontend on top. Spread the joy.  |

i would definitely start using this but my internet and torrents don't get along very well. It sucks my internet so much that i can't do anything else. I also usually get a "bad" connection with the torrent sites and my router has problems with setting up port forwarding... if you think you can help, feel free to send me a PM.

Thanks for the site. I've been wanting to get onto a Christian torrents site of some sort. I use Pirate Bay, but it can be a pain having to search through all the crap that is on there. I also use Demonoid, and I like it, just not many seeders. I'm looking forward to this one. Thanks again!!

also to be honest after a few months it didn't look like xswarm got as much use as probably expected. various times the rss list for the last 5-10 (?) uploads would be a once a week thing i would do. of course i had a secondary reliable back up tracker in there like TPB |
