Has
anyone given any thought to banning any posts that link to
Ziddu? That site has got to be to most crummy site on which to post links on the entire internet... Not only does it
REQUIRE you to unblock pop-ups, it pops up AND under so many tabs/new instances/pop-up windows/etc. that it actually freezes up my Firefox browser so that I HAVE to restart it in order to use it at all. Not only that, but it downloads at around
100kpbs max. My internet connection speed will allow me to download at
20Mbps or faster... This not only is annoying, it is a waste of everybody's time and bandwidth. There are other sites that not only download faster, don't block you from downloading after so long, and are user-friendly, but cost nothing to upload to and download from without wasting your time and stress level with all of the nonsense that is caused by Ziddu. I know, I know. I don't have to download the files uploaded by
chix101 (who seems to be nearly the only poster that uses that particular site)...but
seriously. Since, I think, we can all agree that since we are getting the files for free (unless, like I do, you pay for Premium downloading privileges somewhere), we should (and most of us are) be uploading these files as a service to the Lord and not for profit??? I realize that it costs our time and bandwidth to upload the files that we upload. But, as I said, it really ought to be done as a service to God, not as a way to profit from people. A lot of us are downloading these albums/songs in the way we do because we cannot afford to buy them from retail outlets due to reasons such as low income, fixed income from Social Security Disability, etc. We really shouldn't have to put up with sites like that one. In fact, I don't know of ANY uploading/downloading site that does this other than Ziddu. I think I'll get down from my soapbox now. Thanks for hearing my ranting and raving!
[BTW, did you all realize that
RapidShare.com recanted their plans to increase their prices, but actually
lowered them to such an extent that they appear to be the
least expensive of the premium sites on the internet?
No, I don't work for RapidShare! I just subscribe to their Premium site and am tickled that they lowered their prices. Check it out! I think that it's worth your time! It makes downloading the files so much faster and easier. I think it's great, and I believe that you'll agree. I do like the other sites (except Ziddu), such as MediaFire, MegaUpload, etc. I just really favor RapidShare.com for my downloading needs. Gadzooks! I am not trying to make an advertisement here, just a recommendation. (Gee, I hope no one gets on my case for all of this...
